I have been ordering the Veggie Greek pizza for awhile. I order it for the whole Roasted Garlic cloves. I usually add extra because I enjoy them that much. This time there was no garlic. After this order I called back and spoke to "Jim" who insisted that the garlic was put onto the the pizza stating that"I was standing right there when the pizza was being made! Why would I waste my time and call back reminding him that the proper ingredients were not on the pizza, and it is a $25 plus for my pizza plus the delivery and tip. Never again! Just lost a customer and hope that friends and fellow yelpers take notice.

I grew up in Roseburg, Oregon, aka Abby's homebase. I know Abby's Pizza almost too well. I always loved their Abby's Special pizza. Still do, but almost never eat at Abby's anymore because I find it completely not okay to ask people to spend $29.50 for a large pizza, regardless of the freshness of the toppings or the effectiveness of the crew. Only times I ate here lately was when they have the California Chicken pizza special for $17.99 for a Large ($29.50 when not on special). When you can go to Papa Murphy's and grab 2 of their Family size pizzas with more stuff on them and better taste for the price of, or even cheaper then a Large specialty pizza at Abby's, who do you think people will go? Not saying your pizza aren't good. Quite the opposite. They're amazing, but just not $30/piece amazing. Find a way to lower costs, therefore lowering prices and see the customer flock back to this great pizza place. Go back to the Abby's I remember as a kid.

Some of the best pizza in town...really some of the best in the Northwest, as long as you tell them how to cook it. Their original crust is part of what makes this pizza, but their dough was originally formatted for a traditional flat pizza oven, and it doesn't cook properly in their rotisserie ovens, leaving the crust soft and doughy instead of firm and crunchy (this is a problem at all Abby's). However, if you have them cook the pizza well done it usually comes out good. Some time in the recent past they have changed up a couple things that I personally find annoying. Their restaurants used to have historic local pictures hanging in them, and made the places feel local and part of the community. Now they have replaced their historic community pictures with giant pictures of their specialty pizzas...very sad and uninviting. Something else they've done, that I've personally found annoying, is they've changed the names of their pizza sizes after using the same size names for 40+ years. Despite my complaints, I will still frequent this place as long as I can get their pizza to taste something like the pizza of my childhood.

This review has been a long time coming. IIRC I had my first Abby's pizza in 1992 or 1993 in Grants Pass. Abby's has mastered (possibly originated?) the Oregon-style pizza. It's a bit hard to define what that is if you haven't had one. A thin rustic style crust with a crispy bottom, mild but tangy sauce, and A LOT of fresh toppings falling off the pie. It's absolutely delicious and definitely comparable to the best pizzas I've had in the big cities. Abby's hasn't lowered its standards to keep prices low and unfortunately the Yelp ratings have suffered for this choice. If anything Abby's should be commended for sticking to its principles. No, Abby's isn't the once-a-week pizza joint anymore. But if you want quality in this area then you don't have too many choices. I love that the pizza I order tomorrow will taste exactly the same as the first Abby's pizza I had in 1992.

It's merely ok. Not the best Abbys I've been to. Overpriced, although they don't skimp on the toppings. I ordered a mushroom and olive pizza, which seems simple enough. Somehow they added pepperoni which would have been fine if they did not charge me for it. I was told they could remake my original order, but it took them a long time to make the first one so I opted to just pay for it. It was decent, although there was some hair or fuzz on one of the sections. The crust was garlic and good, and they were generous with the mushrooms. We had some beer and enjoyed the "old timey" ambience. I may come back again, although my past experiences with other Abbys was better.

We have found our back to Abby's for dinner. We sure do love the pizza here. I am happy to report that since my last visit, changing tables have been installed. This makes me very happy. I can now have a safe place to change my 2 babies. Thank you to the management for adding these! I believe they add value to your establishment.

Ate there last night with the family and it was yummy! I love their chicken taco pizza and mojos. A bit pricey but we've not found a better pizza joint around. Thanks Abby's people for the tasty meal

I don't get the hate. I'm not a fanboy, nor do I LOVE pizza. Do I like pizza? Well, duh, I wouldn't be eating at a pizzeria - but I am picky about the pizza I eat. I will say that Abby's have come a long, long way from what they were many years ago. I remember dry crust, nasty toppings, rude employees, and the place wasn't so clean. Now-a-days, it's pretty damn good. The crust is actually really good and fairly moist for being baked in Hades. The toppings are really great and the selection also. My only real complaint is the price. Maybe it's just me, but I think the price is a tad too high. Then again, they advertise that the dough is freshly made and use fresh ingredients. Also, the employees are pretty darn cool. The assistant manager (I think that's his title; he typically works nights) is chill dude. Great, now I want pizza...

My DH and I are Abby's fans. We've visited most of their locations, and have enjoyed consistently good pizza and BBQ wings. The service is usually fast and always friendly. The Coos Bay location lives up to our expectations every time we go there. The online ordering system works great! It is very easy to use.

I've always enjoyed Abby''s. Their Veggie Greek Pizza is my favorite. Good stuff , love the roasted garlic on it. Abby's isn't cheap though. Our family of four usually ends up spending at least 40-50 bucks. Terrible acoustics in this place though the noise level is horrible. That's proably my only gripe. If you have a hard time with noise or have someone in your party who is hard of hearing, conversation will be difficult.

Not impressed. We met friends there and it's an apparent Coos Bay staple local place. However...they charge way too much for pizza. We saved some money getting the special of the day but I was floored by how much they charge for even a large pepperoni pizza. So 2 pizzas (one being the taco pizza special of the day) 4 kids drinks and 4 adult drinks and a order of their potatoes was $65. The special saved us $10. And the pizza did not agree with any of us.

YIKES! From bad to worse! We ordered dinner for 4 adults and two small children to go. We didn't eat like Bisons, and we're coming up on summer so no... we didn't store up food for the winter. We ordered pizza. Had NO idea it was topped with GOLD NUGGETS! While we never did find them... we surely paid for them. Almost a HUNDRED BUCKS for pizza??? Are you freaking kidding me? This is almost as unforgivable as intentional gas gouging. Seriously! It's a meal, not a royal feast... it's grease, fat and carbs on cardboard folks... Can we be reasonable at all?

OLD REVIEW: Stop at Abby's when you first get into town on 101N and eat the best pizza available here. Many delicious toppings to choose from and you get lots of them as compared to other pizza restaurants. I especially enjoy the meatlover's pizza. Maybe it's the addition of chorizo sausage; it's a yummy jumble of flavors. Salad bar, chicken and mojos, and yummy sandwiches for anyone who doesn't want pizza. Games for the kids. Fast, friendly service. EDIT July 2014: Something has gone very wrong with the crust at Abby's. For about 6 months, the crust is tough, chewy, cardboard-like. I phoned to see if we accidentally got the gluten-free crust and was assured that didn't happen. Well, the thin crust has remained awful throughout another 3 or 4 orders now. Can't eat it and end up scraping all the toppings off to eat them.

If you like ear wax, nose mucus and planters warts in your pizza, this is the place for you! I noticed the young man making my pizza (sans plastic gloves) picked his ear. dug in his nose, continued making my pizza. He delivered it up front and I saw the planters warts all over his hands. He did NOT wear gloves while handling food. I immediately asked to speak to the manager, also a youngish fellow. Basically I was blown off, either take your pizza or don't. I didn't, left and never went back!

Is like any other pizza chain. Got the meat lovers, which has steak on it. Was decent. The salad bar is OK also. Did the salad bar/pizza combo. The mini pizza which I thought would be too small was just right. I was full. The place is a little spendy for the quality. Service is mediocre. It's not bad or good is the best way I can describe this place.

I had high hopes for this place after hearing some conflicting views from locals. I called and ordred two medium specialty pizzas one of them thin crust. On arriving to pick up the pizzas the bill was 50 DOLLARS! I'm not kidding. The same price as it cost me and the wife to go to the all you can eat seafood buffet at the casino we get two stinking medium pizzas. My thoughts at this time is this better be the best pizza I have ever had because it is near twice as expensive as Ginos here in town. The meats on the pizza were obviously very high quality and for that I give them kudos but everything else was just awful. The thin crust lacked crunch. The thick crust was soggy. And the sauce lacked both any detectable level of sweetness or spicyness pretty much tasting like tomato sauce from a can with nothing else in it. We ended up tossing half of the pizzas. Like throwing 25 bucks in the trash can. How this place can stay in business I'll never know. I'm thinking the locals just suffer from a complete lack of choice or maybe have never tasted good pizza. Sucks. Avoid unless you are a masochist.

This review deals with the Abby's in Coos Bay, but since this is a chain, it's all the same ol' same ol' if you get my drift. I custom-ordered a pizza with extra sauce, which I CRAVE on my pizzas. The price was around $26 and I didn't get the extra sauce I expected. Matter of fact I couldn't hardly find a trace of sauce! Being a fool for pizza and wanting to give the joint another chance since I did enjoy it back in the 1970's, I tried again and got exactly the same as before. You make it my way or else I write you off folks! It's my money paying your salary and if you don't accomodate me, you don't get the moolah. The customer is king and all that! You can get a bit better pizza for several dollars less by going to Gino's. Pay just a bit more and get your pizza perfect with quality ingredients as well as PERFECTLY made to order at Dave's Pizza. Both of those places are in next door North Bend and I'll enjoy my b-day dinner at Dave's this year with my family and friends. Back when I lived in Utah, there was a place called $5 Pizza and they served you a medium-sized pizza with everything on it for $5 delivered or $4 if you picked it up. You told these guys what you didn't want...LOL! These guys sold pizza hand over fist for $20 less than the high priced idiots at Abby's and made a profit. I HATE BEING RIPPED OFF!!! I'll pay good money for good pizza made the way I want it but I'll never ever spend a dime at Abby's as they failed the test with me not once but twice. Add to that the fact their Canadian Bacon isn't Canadian Bacon at all. It's made from turkey! With only Bush Beef being offered for the beef toppings instead of quality organic/local source meats, I want my Canadian Bacon, which I use to avoid the Bush Beef, to be The Real Thing, not some lousy imitation. For your pizza dollar, you can spend much less and do just as good or spend the same and get much better than Abby's offers.

That was not the case with Abby's Legendary Pizza. We wanted pizza delivered to our hotel but kept getting a busy signal when we tried to call so I decided to drive there and order it to go. I was about the sixth or seventh person in line and when I was ordering I told the girl at the counter about trying to call and she was super helpful and actually put our order in ahead of the others. The pizza was excellent! I ordered the Abby's special which comes with salami, pepperoni, beef and sausage smothered with olives, mushrooms and more cheese and I also had feta cheese added to it. We are a family of 5 with 2 teenage boys and we eat a lot of pizza. Abby's does have good pizza but, good golly! !!! We can't afford to eat there more than once a year. Their prices are ridiculously high for this area. The only time we had dinner together inside, we ordered 2 pizzas, 1 salad and 4 drinks and or bill was roughly $80. Crikey!!! That's what I expect to pay for a meal at a steakhouse, not a pizza joint.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Their prices are ridiculously high for this area. The only time we had dinner together inside, we ordered 2 pizzas, 1 salad and 4 drinks and or bill was roughly $80. Crikey!!! That's what I expect to pay for a meal at a steakhouse, not a pizza joint.
